Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Schug and two children of Syracuse, N. Y. were holiday visitors of her father, Jewett Smith of Hollywood, Calif., who is a supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jenkins.
Mrs. Silas Martin is recovering from a recent illness and hospitalization. She has been visited by many neighbors including Mr. and Mrs. H. Scharmer, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrews and Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Martin.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bridgeman and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hogarty and three children of Glen Bumie, Md. were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley. On Monday they were visited by Don Bridgeman and Miss Sandra Hall, also of Glen Bumie. Mr. and Mrs. Hackley attended the Labor Day parade Monday in Gordonsville.
Carlton Davis has returned to his home in Chapel Hill, N. C. after spending several months with Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Williams and working in Washington. He will report for military service. Mary Alice Davis has returned to her home in Chapel Hill, also after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hackley.
