Washington” Party
A group of ladies of the Washington area surprised Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Burke with a shower, consisting for the most part of household supplies last Thursday evening at their trailer home on Mt. Salem Avenue. Hostesses were Mrs. Charles C. Burke and Mrs. Guy Burke. Others participating in the “house warming” shower for the newlyweds included Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mrs. W. C. Campbell, Mrs. Ada Updike, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. J. M. Lillard, Mrs. Irvin Sisk, Mrs. Mary Burke, Mrs. J. W. Critzer, Mrs. Milton M. Hawkins, Jr., and Mrs. Clarence Giles all of Washington, Mrs. Perle Coffey of Sperryville, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rector and daughter Raye of Flint Hill.
