The heavy load of processing and cataloging donated and purchased books at Rappahannock Library requires more time than volunteers are able to give. This is the finding of the Trustees at their annual meeting held last week. They also i noted a marked progress in the! overall library Service to the community. Numerous new and fine works have been given or purchased recently. Our Virginia history shelves are becoming comparable to some of the best libraries in the State. The Trustees voted to seek out a man or woman who has had some library experience or is; willing to be trained for the job! to work w ith the volunteers and j gradually take over thej responsibility of the whole library j service. He or she will have j volunteer assistance, the Board! will provide guide lines, and the! newly formed group, known as The Friends of the Library, will back him or her in promoting new and interesting library projects.
