Miss Nellie Jane Johnson of Woodville died Friday, August 30, 1968 at the Univeisity of Virginia Hospital at the age of 68.
She was a native of Woodville, daughter of the late James Harvey and Mary Ella Carder Johnson. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church which she served as treasurer for a numbf r of years, and was also a member of the Rappahannock Home Demonstration Club.
Sur’ivors include one brother William H. Johnson of Culpeper and a sister, Mrs. C. B. Johnson of Woodville.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Boston with burial in Woodville Cemetery. The Rev. John McKay officiated.
Pallbearers were H. B. Wood, .Jr., Howard Waddell, Edmund Burke, Russell Deane, Clyde Courtney, Gordon Thornhill, Freddie Butler and Philip Ungar.
T. M. Rees
A graveside funeral service was held Friday, August 30 at Washington Masonic Cemetery for Thomas Morris Rees, 84, of Washington, Va. who died Wednesday at the Warren Memorial Hospital. The Rev. John Chappell of Culpeper officiated at the service.
Mr. Rees was a native of Michigan and had lived at Reescroft in Washington for many years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
