The basketball game with Broadway tops the activities this week. The Friday nighi feature will begin with the J.V’.’s going at 6:30 p.m. and the Varsity at 8 p.m. Congratulations to the Varsity on their win at Elkton.
The Seniors will hold their Christmas dance Saturday, December 14th. Admission will be one dollar per person.
An assembly sponsored by the C & P Telephone Company was held Tuesday. It provided skits that showed the proper way and the wrong way to apply for a job.
Hie Varsity Club held its First meeting and elected Donnie Welch as president. Eddie Wayland was elected treasurer.
Mr. Biggs’ Senior boys were finally defeated in the attendance for the month. Miss Hensley’s 9th grade girls downed the mighty Seniors.
Good sportsmanship is almost undefinable. It can almost be summed up in the words “be graceful in victory and defeat.’’ Gpod sportsmanship is something ev^-y school can be,prt)ud of. Our sportsmanship is good^ but sometimes it’s hard to have sportsmanship when the team is down. This year even if we don’t win every game, let’s make every school see that we are the best in sportsmanship.
Biis week I interviewed Beth O’Bannon and Eddie Clark.
Beth’s favorite song is “Hold on I’m Coming”. Her favorite sound is Wilson Pickett. “You got that right” is heard from her lips the most. She plans to go to college.
