Honors Cannon
A Rappahannock boy, Cadet Jimmy Cannon son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cannon of Castleton has received special recognition for his performance on the varsity football team at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal. Jimmy, a senior and co-captain of the varsity team, was credited with 31 unassisted tackles for the season. Jimmy played both at the defensive end and offensive tackle positions. It was Cannon’s third year on the varsity squad.
Jimmy is also a member of the varsity wrestling team of which he is co-captain and wrestles in the 180 lb. class. A member of the varsity track team, he throws the shot put.
