bought a house in Morganton, ■ North Carolina. 1 The third sale made in Sycamore Hollow in the same size week period involved a 143-acre mountain tract deep in the hollow owned by Henry C. Gore, who has contracted to sell it to the (wo World Bank officials, John A. Holsen and Marto Ballesteros of Washington, D. C. The Holsen family already owns adjoining land sold to them by Edward A. Harris and Associates and have constructed a rustic dwelling there overlooking a small river.
The purchasers of the Gore acreage plan to divide it at settlement, scheduled for next year.
The fifth sale has brought to the county Charles M. Platt of U.S. News and World Report and his wife, Helen King Platt, who have purchased the handsome A-Frame on sixteen acres located at Rock Mills. Tbis property was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Philip M. Stem of Washington, D. C., who had bought it a year earlier through Edward A. Harris & Associates from Philip and Elly Irwin.
