Mr. and Mrs. Gid Jenkins of Slate Mills announce the marriage of their daughter, Joyce Lee Jenkins to Thomas Ellis Brown of Sperryville, son of Mrs. Richard Brown and the late Mr. Brown. The ceremony took place on Saturday, December 7, 1968 at the Baptist Parsonage in Front Royal. The bride is a graduate of Rappahannock High School and is now employed by the Culpeper Farmer’s Co-Op. Mr. Brown is also a graduate of Rappahannock High School and has a position with the State Highway Department in Culpeper. They will reside in Culpeper.

Mrs. C. B. Johnson

Mrs. J. A. Gay who spent sometime recently with her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Orange and other relatives, was accompanied home to Chesapeake by Mr. Gay who came for the weekend. Mrs. Amos Butler left last Wednesday for a ten-day visit with her son Lewis Butler anfl family at McLean and son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Winston Sibert in Takoma Park, Md. _

Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners were recent guests of Mrs. Ada Settle. Mrs. Settle is recuperating at home from recent surgery in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. !

Mrs. Raymond Johnson and .C. B. Johnson were in Charlottesville Tuesday. They were accompanied by Mrs. Tommy Jackson whose husband is ill in University Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ungar had with them Mr. Ungar’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Max Ungar of Norfolk for the “grand opening” of the Ungar Shoe Shop in Culpeper last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson were supper guests of Mrs. Johnson’s sister Mrs. F. B. Dailey on Monday evening in Culpeper and attended the Christmas Party given by the AARP Chapter that evening in Culpeper Episcopal Parish Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Collier Fox of Luray were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Ckrk and granddaughter “Misty”. Mrs. W. R. Williamson spent several days recently with her sister in Richmond. Mrs. Hazel Allen of New Jersey
