A joint meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors and the Rappahannock County School Board is scheduled for Monday, February 17 at 10 a.m. in the courthouse at Washington. This action was taken at the February meeting of the Board of Supervisors held Friday. The
meeting was requested by School j Superintendent O. A. Norton.
Several fowl claims submitted' by Dog Warden Jack Bruce were approved.
Resident Engineer James K. Skeens reported at the meeting that a 5 ton limit has been placed on the Tapps Ford road for the next 90 days. Other road problems discussed were roads which needed gravel after the winter’s wear, a road to be added to the system and improvement of the access road to the county dump at Amissville.
Edward Clark of Flint Hill, a member of the Rappahannock [bunty Firemen’s Association, was present to request that $500 be included in the 69-70 appropriations for the annual fire school for all county Firemen. Diis request was approved.
Sheriff Charles K. Estes reported that the electric wiring in the jail building was unsafe and needed to be rewired. ’Die supervisors decided that this should be done through bids and notice should be sent all local electricians to enter bids, which
