George H. Turner
George H. Turner, Sr., 57, of Huntly died Sunday, February 9, 1969. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Macedonia Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. T. Alsberry. Interment was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
He was born in Rappahannock County, a son of Robert R. Turner and the late Alfred M. Turner.
Surviving with his mother are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Turner of Huntly; three sons, George, Jr., Eugene and Lawrence and two daughters Mrs. Margaret Pendleton and Miss Florence Turner, all of Huntly; five brothers, James E. Russell of Front Royal; Clarence Turner of Front Royal; James A. Turner of Washington, Va., Richard H. Turner of Markham and William M. Turner of Front Royal; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Tyler of Front Royal and Miss Minnie Turner of Providence, Rhode Island.
Pallbearers were Robert, James and Richard Turner, Sylvester Jackson, Eddie Russell and Carroll Frye.
