Traffic crashes on Rappahannock County highways have occurred at the rate of almost two a day for the past week and include a possible fatality, two hit and run with property damage, a single-vehicle incident and several crashes In which two vehicles were involved.
Trooper W. A. Buntin investigated the following seven crashes and three other minor incidents.
George Turner of Huntly diedj Sunday evening of possible i injuries sustained in a traffic mishap earlier in the day. Turner and Albert Flynn were passengers in a 55 Ford truck operated by William Clark Pendleton. All are from Huntly. The truck ran off the right of the road. Route 522, into a ditch. Turner and Flynn both fell from the truck. Pendleton and Flynn put Turner] back into the vehicle and took) him to his home. Two hours later Turner died, apparently ofi
injuries sustained in the fall from] the truck. An autopsy was authorized by the medical, examiner and the investigation continues. The truck was owned by Aubrey North.
