School started this week and the buses started rolling. Was your child looking his best when he got on that bus? We won’t discuss how he looked when he got off the bus in the evening.
Ask yourself these questions before your children leave foi school. If you can answer yes to each question, you can be proud of the way they look.
Are the clothes clean and well pressed? Do the clothes fit well? Are the pants legs the right length? Are the skirts the right length? Are buttons, snaps and hooks all sewn on? Are torn places nearly mended?
Are clothes right for school? They should not be too dressy. They should not have lots of lace and ruffles. They should be easy to wash and iron.
Are shoes clean and shined?
Is hair clean, combed, and brushed? Combs and brushes should be clean, too. Is hair cut when needed?
Have teeth been brushed? Teeth should be brushed at least twice a day.
Are fingernails clean and shaped?
Has each child had a bath. Bathe every day. Use warm watei and soap. Use a clean cloth and towel.
Now are your children ready for school? Clothing is important to a child. If properly dress, a child feels a part of the group, thus gaining confidence necessary to doing his best during the school year.
