A graveside funeral service fyr Mrs. Lucy Weakley Hawkins, 71, of Sperryville was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. The Rev. William M. Hargett officiated.
Mrs. Hawkins died Sunday, August 24, 1969 in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Madison County, the widow of Henry E. Hawkins.
Surviving are six sons, Gordon E., Thurman W. and Felton E. Hawkins, all of Miami, Fla., A. Winfrey Hawkins of Alexandria, Alvin L. Hawkins of Washington, D.C., and Herbert F. Hawkins of Silsia, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Bruce of Sperryville; a sister, Mrs. D. A. Bunch of Warrenton and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Walter Bailey, her daughter Beth and mother, Mrs. Ruth Hower of Front Royal visited Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Louise Mills of Huntly and Mrs. Shirley Huff of Washington visited them on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wines and son Mark are moving this week to a house they have purchased on 11th Street in Front Royal.
