First Aid Courses
An advanced first aid course is being offered in Sperryville with Pete Clatterbuck of Culpeper instructing. Anyone registering for this course must hold a standard card. Classes are from 7 until 11 p.m. at the fire hall in Sperryville and class dates are September 22 and 24; October 6, 8 and 20th.
Church Schedule
Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington will resume its winter schedule beginning Sunday, September 21 with services as follows:
8 a m. - Holy Communion
10 a.m. - Sunday School
11 a.m. - Morning Prayer
Horse and Pony Club Elects Officers
A meeting of the 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club was held Saturday, Sept. 13 at the home of the adult leader, Mrs. R. V. Snead.
Officers for the coming year were elected as follows: President, Cil Davis; Vice President, Wendy Brown; Secretary, Libby Snead; Treasurer, Cassie Coates; Reporter, Susan Dodson and Song Leader, Maureen Day.
Discussion provided many possible program ideas for other meetings. All of these are sure to be both interesting and helpful. The members decided to meet each month on the first Saturday at the home of the leader. There are now plans for a Horse Show in May of next year, which will be more detailed later.
The members would like to invite any interested person to attend the next meeting, which will be on the first Saturday of October at 10 a.m.
