Mr. and Mrs. William F. Bear Jr. of Amissville announce the birth of a son, Chad Andrew, bom September 11, 1969 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The Bears have another son, Eric who is four. Grandparents of the little boys are Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Stickley of Vienna and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Bear Sr. of Freeport, Dl.

Mr. and Mrs. James H. Falls of Woodville announce the adoption last week of a son, Timothy David, who is eleven months old.

Mr., and Mrs. Louis P. Moore, Jr. of Flint Hill are receiving congratulations on the birth of a son Louis Printz, III on September 3, 1969 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

The baby’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Davis of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Moore of Flint Hill.

Harvest Home Day

At Virginia Baptist Home

The annual Harvest Home Day program will be held Friday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Virginia Baptist Home, Culpeper. Norman Gillum will preside over the program and the theme will be “Our Dwelling Place.”

The Rev. W. R. Snead, Administrator of the Home at Culpeper, will give the welcome address, and speakers will include Rev. Ernest Averett, Pastor of the Calverton-Bealeton Baptist Churches, the Rev. Charles E. Neal, Administrator of the Home at Newport News, and R. L. T. Beale, Jr., President, Baptist General Board. A picnic lunch of fried chicken and other delicacies will be served after adjournment.

VFW Horse Show

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2524 will hold its annual Hunter-Western Horse and Pony Show on October 11th and 12th. This is an open show and will be held at Rhoda Lea Farm, Stevensburg, Virginia. The hunter show will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and will offer championships for small pony, large pony and horse.

The western show will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and will offer championships for western pony, pleasure horse and timed event horse.
