“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Eph. 5:11)

The Christian life is to be a light in a world of darkness. Darkness refers to the evil that exists in various forms from the sensual indulgences to robbery to murder to idolatry. The Christian faith has been the great restraining influence to check these practices.

The question is: Does my life add to the light or does it increase the darkness?

We cannot be neutral. Jesus said, “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad ” (Matt. 12:30)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16)
