Tax Deadline
December 5th
The deadline for paying personal property and real estate taxes in Rappahannock County is Friday, December 5, 1969. A penalty of 5% goes into effect after this date. Taxes should be paid to Treasurer Robert L. Brown at his office in Washington, Va. or may be mailed to him there. To avoid the penalty, all remittances must be made to the office by closing time of December 5, or those mailed must bear a postmark no la-G? than December 5. If you have not received your tax bill, please notify Mr. Brown immediately, and if your address has been changed within the year, so indicate and give new address.
Castleton VFD Dinner
Reported Successful
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department reported a successful dinner held Sunday at the fire hall and expressed appreciation to all who supported the event. In addition to the gratifying attendance, a word of thanks was extended those who worked, cooked, served, contributed or assisted in any manner. All was necessary to insure success and all was appreciated.
The RCA color television was jiven Glen E. Scudder of Castleton and the shotgun went :o Anne Schmidt of Arlington.
