Christmas Seal Sale Campaign Report
Christmas Seal returns in the amount of $15,687 have been received as of the first of this week. This is approximately one-third of the goal of $45,200 set for the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia.
As a part of the eight county area served by the Association, the breakdown by county, chairman and contribution to date, is as follows: Clarke, Mrs. Robert W. Smalley, $828.02; Fauquier, Mrs. J. A. E. Piette, $2,985.25; Frederick, Mrs. W. P. Mahler, $3,853.50; Loudoun, Carl F. Greth, $2,556.83; Page, Albert W. Coleman, $1,357; Rappahannock, Mrs. Isaac Parrish, $298; Shenandoah, Albert T. Mitchell, $1,971.25; and Warren, Mrs. William Z. Bowie, $1,837.15.
“The need for the services performed by the Tuberculosis Association continues to grow year by year as the population of the area increases,” said Mrs. Jason Paige, Jr., Area Christmas Seal Chairman.
“We are confident that the people of the area again will provide the financial assistance to enable the Tuberculosis Association to carry on this important work. However, I would like to urge all residents to send in their Christmas Seal contributions as soon as possible so that we may properly budget our services for the coming year,” she added. Christmas Seal funds are used for school health programs, patient services, medical education and research.
