The annual Amissville Ruritan Ladies Night again proved to be a night of nights for those fortunate citizens possessed both of a treasured club membership and a perfumed little number with starry eyes and a new gown. These cherished little princesses, coaxed from their chimney corners last Wednesday evening, were carried in sparkling transition from the fabled pumpkin chariot to the cushioned ease of the family gas coach.
The pretty guests arrived at 7:30 hungry to sample the delicacies of a fine dinner prepared by the Auxiliary of the Amissville Tire Department and were squired by their gallant prince all freshly trimmed at President-Elect Burner’s barbershop or groomed at home with the misses’ pinking shears. Not all the ladies graced the arms of their handsome dates, however, and one wife arrive unescorted.
