Reports Incre ase
A total of 335 students, an increase of 156 over lfist year, are reported enrolled at Piedmont Vocational School by T. N. Broyles, director. In addition to the day program, 14. pupils are studying the clinical phase of the Licensed Practical Nursing Protpram at University of Virginia Hospital, making an overall total of 349 students. Thijse fourteen are the responsibility of Piedmont Vocational School and its instructor is a member of the faculty of the local sc hool.
Enrollment in ad ult evening classes has reached a total of 226 for the fall semester. Of this number, 110 are enrolled in business related subjects, including Typing, Shorthand, Business Data Processing, Bookkeeping and Ban king.
The remainder of the evening enrollment is in the following subject areas: English and Math review for General Educational Development, Bricklaying, Sejving, Art, Motor Tune-up (auto) and Adult Basic Education. The Adult Basic Education Programi is for those adults over twenty/ years of age who did not complete the eighth grade in school.
