Facts about Laundry Products containing Enzymes.
Two types of laundry products 'containing enzymes are on the mar ket. Some of these are to be used in pie-soaking. The others are a regular detergent with an enayme added and maybe used for a pre-wash soak or during the regular wash cycle.
The pre-soak products are not designed to compete with laundry products already on the market; they are not designed for general laundry use or as substitutes foi any products homemakers are now using. Instead, their function is to loosen soils and stains that homemakers have considered impossible to remove. These stains include ground-in-dirt on collars, cuffs, socks, blood, grass, baby formulas or other stubborn food. Enzymes will aid in removing old stains, as well as fresh ones.
Products containing enzymes decompose organic soil, such as blood and egg. The organic holds other soil particles together in much the same way that mortar holds bricks together. The organic soil also acts as glue to hold the glued together particles onto the fabric.
