Creative Craft Show And Sale in Luray
The Page County Home Demonstration Clubs are sponsoring a “Creative Craft Show and Sale” on Friday, December 5, from 1:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Luray. All items on exhibit and for sale will be handmade. A variety of Christmas decorations and baked goods will be offered for sale. Demonstrations by local craftsmen will be featured. China painting, caning, tole painting, hooking rugs, wood carving and metal art are only a few of the crafts to be demonstrated.
4-H Club Report
The meeting of the 4-H Girls 7th grade club was held November 20 at Rappahannock Elementary School.
Lois Settle, president, called the meeting to order. Robin Estesand Rosa Jordan led us in the pledges to the flags. Song leader, Kathy Dwyer, led us in the song, “The 4-H Trail”. Secretary Sherry Looney read the minutes ofi the last meeting and they were Approved. Unfinished business: Fnling out enrollment cards which some people had not done. Our leader also passed out membership cards. Our meeting was adjourned and turned over to our vice president who played “I Spy” with us.
We then went on with our project work which was a Filmstrip on clothing.
