The Rappahannock County 4-H Share-the-Fun Contest was held Wednesday, April 22, at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Ricky Gore, President of the Rappahannock Senipj4-H Club, served as emcee. Mike Tupper and Larry Brown were the recipients of the Camp Scholarship in the Junior Division with their skit, “Mad World of Scientists”. Brenda Printz won the scholarship to Club Congress in Blacksburg with her vocal rendition of “Leaving On A Jet ■* Plane” in the Senior Division. These scholarships were presented by Mr. Louis deRosset, Special Services Director at Northern Piedmont Electric Co-op, which sponsored the event.
In the Junior Division, the following special awards were made: First in Dance was Patsy Vest, Bridget Brown, Kim Estes, Shelia Bailey, Carolyn Beahm, Terry Leake, Debra Fincham, and Diane Taylor for their skit on “How Dances Have Changed. First in Vocal went to Debbie Grigsby, Sherri Settle, Dona Stover, Joyce Deal, Sandra Grigsby and Joyce Jenkins for their rendition of “Leaving On A Jet Plane.” Pamela Settle, playing “Little Today” on piano was first in Instrumental and Mike Tupper and Larry Brown were 1st in Skits.
In the Senior Division: First in Instrumental went to Karl Burke playing “Those Were The Days” and “Exodus” and Brenda Printz was first in Vocal.
