Sen. Harry F. Byrd, Jr., invites area residents to come to Graves Mountain Lodge at Syria on Monday, May 4th, when he will be on hand to meet his friends and supporters. Refreshments will be served. Earlier that day, Senator Byrd will be attending the Area 11 Annual Spring Meeting of the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts which convenes at the Lodge that morning at 10 o’clock.
This is the first visit of the Senator here since his announcement he will run as an Independent candidate, this fall.
