The program of readings bi Emily Dickinson’s poems, given by Mrs. Helen Gahagan Douglas at the Library last Friday evening, was of unusual interest and was well attended. Mrs. Douglas’ briel history of Miss Dickinson’s work and her dramatizations of the poems themselves brought to life this poet who is accepted as the greatest of American women in her Held. All of those connected with or interested in the Library are extremely grateful to this gracious lady for her generosity in giving of her time and efforts fpi our enjoyment and enlightenment.
A number of new books have arrived, about which this column will give information next week. By that time they will have been processed and will be on the shelves for the borrowers’ use.
