Homemakers Meet
The spring meeting of District VIII of Virginia Federation of Homemakers Clubs was held at the National Guard Armory in Warrenton on April 22. The theme of the meeting was “Look to the 70’s” and the program was a fashion show featuring ways to stretch your budget with wardrobe planning. Seventeen members from Rappahannock clubs attended the District meet.
Youth Rally
The young people of Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church are having a Youth Rally, Saturday, May 2 beginning at 7 o’clock.
Brother Jerry Young of the Rivermont Baptist Church, Front Royal, will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.
Cemetery Notice
All people who own lots in the Flint Hill Methodist Cemetery or have members of their family buried there are requested to help with cleaning up this cemetery on May 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone unable to work is requested to arrange to have a man there to work in his place.
