Actor Melvyn Douglas and Lt. Col. E. A. McNear (Ret.) look over a copy of Douglas’ enlistment and induction papers when he was sworn into the U. S. Army in 1942 by McNear, then a recruiting officer. The two met again last week when the actor and his wife were visiting in Harris Hollow with Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Harris.
