Mrs. H. P. Jenkins
A funeral service for Mrs. Laura Holmes Ella Jenkins of Sperryville was held Wednesday it 2 p.m. at Flint Hill Pentecostal Church with interment in Washington Masonic Cemetery, rhe Rev. James Pittman conducted the services. Mrs. Jenkins, 87, widow of Henry Peyton Jenkins, died April 26, 1970 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. She was i native of Rappahannock County, daughter of the* late lacob and Lucy Dodson. Survivors include three sons, Jacob Jenkins of Berryville, Edward Jenkins of Washington, Va., and Ashby Jenkins of Amiasville; four daughters, Mrs. Charlie Rutherford of Sperryville, Mrs. Lee Jenkins of Culpeper, Mrs. Andrew Burke and Mrs. Edward Welch, both of Manassas; 39 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Rutherford, Robert Jenkins, Manuel Jenkins, Edward Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins, Charles Burke, Rufus Welch and Robert Burke.
