The House has passed a bill to clarify the existing Conflict of Interest Law to eliminate the misunderstanding and confusion it has caused, particularly in regard to school teachers and their spouses.
The possession, sale and distribution of certain paraphernalia. such as syringes, used in connection with drugs have been regulated and the capitation tax has been repealed.

Stella M. Fenell, Box 183, Sperryville, Virginia, 22740, has entered an original painting in the Ninth Annual Benedictine Art Award, a competition inspired by the world famous art collection on permanent display at the Benedictine Abbey in Fecamp, France. An American Federation of Arts panel will judge the entries from which 35 finalists will be selected for Certificates of Achievement. From these, three money prize winners will receive $1,000, $750 and $500, respectively.
