Two people, a man and a woman, were killed Monday morning in a single vehicle crash just west of the village ol Amissville on Route 211. They were Santiago Takemura ol Montery Park, California, a Captain in the U. S. Army $ stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D. C. and she wai Yukie Natinea, employed at the Japanese Embassy there. The wreck occurred about 10 a.m.
The couple, riding in a 1969 Volkswagen, ran off the right of the highway, struck a tree and rolled over. The vehicle was demolished. According to Trooper G. F. Gregory, who conducted an investigation of the wreck, no reason for the crash could be ascertained. There were no brake marks or skid marks to indicate any reason for loss of control of the vehicle. These highway fatalities bring the total of deaths On Rappahannock Highways to three for the calendar year. No fatalities were recorded here for the first half of the year. A single-vehicle crash killed a Maryland man on June 28 near Rock Mills. Woodrow Wilson Brein of Stanley was charged with reckless driving as the result of a head-on collision Tuesday 2.2 miles west of Sperryville on Route 211. According to Trooper J. B.
