Amissville First
In Little League
The Amissville PeeWees have edged into first place in the Fauquier Little League and are a half a game ahead of The Plains. Amissville took a smashing victory Monday when they met Bealeton on the local diamond; the score 38-4. Amissville was rained out last Thursday when they were to play Warrenton Little Chicks. In Monday’s game Mike Smoot hit his sixth home run for the tengame season. Wilbur Glascock made his third homer and Barry Adkins smashed his first of the season. Everyone was batting well.
Next scheduled game is Thursday, tonight, at 6 p.m. on the Amissville diamond when the Warrenton Lions Team will be the opponent.
