Miss Helen Fuller of Washington collided with Mrs. Betty L. Estes of Sperryville in the Town of Washington Sunday. Miss Fuller in a 1966 Ford Thunderbird backed into a 70 Chevrolet station wagon operated by Mrs. Estes and owned by James Swindler oi Sperryville. Damage to the station wagon was estimated at $75 and tc the Ford was negligible. There were no injuries and Miss Fuller was charged with improper backing, according to investigating officer W. A. Buntin.
Dean’s Barn Burns
A barn on the farm of Elwood Dean near Amissville was struck by lightning Tuesday afternoon and completely destroyed. The fire had apparently been burning some time before it was discovered during the afternoon rain and electric storm. The barn is located on the property some distance from the Dean home. The Amissville Fire Company responded but efforts by that time were fruitless.
