daughters D’Anne and Kendall of St. Louis, Mo. spent the holiday weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Scoggin, at their home on the Fodder Stack Road.

Fourth of July guests of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrigan at Avon Hall included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hutchison and children, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Henry and family, all of Pittsburgh, Pa. Kerry Hutchison and Clare Henry enrolled Monday at Roundabout Camp, Sperryville, for two weeks. Weekend guests of the Carrigans were Mr. and Mrs. Evan A. Sholl and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pennington of Washington, D. C., who returned home Monday afternoon. A large number of Washington, D. C. area friends joined the Carrigans for the Independence Day celebration, returning to D. C. after the fireworks.
Robert M. Nethers of fPunn Loring was the weekend guest of his sister, Mrs. Mary Wood.
Luncheon guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke on Blue Ridge Avenue were Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Burke of Culpeper, C. Cletus Burke of Front Royal and Mrs. Guy Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Allie Huff and sons Edward and Brian entertained at their home Saturday with a birthday dinner in honor of Mrs. Huff, Edward and T. W. Huff. Others attending were Mrs. T. W. Huff of Silver Spring, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Perry of Culpeper, Mrs. Frank Jenkins and daughter Peggy of Fairfax, Miss Susan Latham of Amissville and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Perry and son Ricky of Culpeper who were also Sunday afternoon guests'for the festivities at the Library. Brian Huff returned home with the Lawrence Perrys to spend the week.
Spending the day recently in Williamsburg were Mr. and Mrs. H. Taylor Updike and daughter Gail and Mrs. Mary Wood accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker and three children of Culpeper.
