An intense effort is being made to preserve the position of and assure the participation of Rappahannock County in the American Red Cross Blood Program. Groups and individuals concerned with the poor response of citizens in recent visits of the Bloodmobile are joining forces to “bring out the donors.” For Rappahannock people to be eligible to receive blood when needed residents of the area must be donors to the Blood Bank. The system works just as any bank does, and unless frequent, substantial deposits are made regularly, withdrawals will quickly consume the Balance. The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Washington, Va. on Wednesday, August 18 from 12 o’clock noon until 6 p.m. and will be set up
