Indeed, it was a good day for everyone, and it was a full day. Those who were of a mind were filled spiritually, and those who wished, had adequate opportunity to enjoy all the good things the luncheon provided. „The persimmon pie was missing, but the pecan was there, and the squash pie had bowed out to the more delicious pumpkin but things really hadn’t changed. It is written in the Gospel, “hold fast that which is good” and one would reckon the Baptist folks have done just that, because August 4 was a good day trhat satisfied soul and body of generations new and old.

August Garden Club
Meeting Changed
The regular monthly meeting of the Rappahannock County Garden Club has been changed this month to August 25 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. N. Montague, Sperryville. Program chairman Mrs. Richard Tuma will present a program on Wild Flowers. The Exhibit will be Wild Flower Arrangements.
