Here, guided by a skilled teacher and an aide, 14 children un derwenl an intensive period of strengthening basic reading skills so that they would be better prepared in the fall for their academic work Attention was placed on the individual’s weaknesses and an appropriate plan of action devised for each child to correct those indicated weaknesses.
Teachers, parents and children have been enthusiastic about these programs and it is hoped that such can be continued on in future years.
