actively participated in many of the activities. Mrs. Frances Thorton, Rappahannock County Public Health Nurse and Miss Sandra Foster, a student working at the County Agent’s Extension Office also talked with the parents. Then the parents were invited to visit the classes and participate with their children. They also had the opportunity of observing an art show consisting of work created in a variety of art forms by their children One new aspect of this year’s program has been the library activities. The children visited twice weekly the library where they met “Billy Book" and learned about the library as a media center, as well as the “book hospital”. Children were encouraged to select books to take home, and parents were urged to read to their children. Mrs. Lucia Kilby, librarian, also provided the children with oral stories and
