Sunday night, Michael Paul Young of Alexandria in a ‘65 Volkswagen struck and killed a heifer about 10 p.m. Damage to his car was set at $400.
According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, who investigated Brian Murphy, also of Alexandria, a passenger in the VW, sustained an injured knee. He was treated at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton and released.
AT 11:45 the same night Mrs. Cornelia Lee Martin of Arlington operating a 1972 Gremlin struck a cow and damaged her vehicle in the amount of $300.
Mrs. Martin has indeed been unfortunate in traveling through Rappahannock for only a month ago she struck a deer west of Sperryville in her Gremlin. Both crashes were investigated by Trooper Buntin. □
