One may also request reserved license plates in the numbered series through 10,000, in the “A” prefix series through 10,000, and the “AAA” prefix series through 999. Current holders of reserved plates will be able to retain their plates provided they make a request on a reservation card, and pay the $10 annual fee.

The plates will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and the postmark date will be the deciding factor in the event two requests are received for the same license plate. The $10 fee must accompany the request card, and it must be received at least 90 days before the present plates expire, which is April 15, 1973.

The reserved plates will be issued beginning March 15, 1973. At that Jtime, the rgular license fee will be collected. Each succeeding year, the holders of reserved plates will pay the regular license fee, and the $10 fee for the reserved plates.
