Ernest Leroy Showers of Linden was charged with hit and run property damage after he was involved in a collision in Rappahannock County July 11.

According to Trooper R. A. Baines, Mfs. Vivian Marie Estes, operating a 70 Ford station wagon on Route 522 north of Huntlv. was struck by the Showers’ car and the driver failed to stop at the^scene.

He was later apprehended and charged.

Damage to the Estes vehicle was estimated at $275.

A four-vehicle wreck occurred July 16 at 3:40 p.m. on Route 211 west of Washington, as one car slowed to make a left turn.

Jean Roberta Lillard of .College Park, Md. in a 69 fVontiac was charged with following too closely after striking the rear of a 72 Pinto driven by Joseph Gill Price which also involved Tommy R. Palmetree of Springfield in a 67 Plymouth.
