OBITUARIES

W. D. Phillips

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church for William D. Phillips, 80, of Amissville who died September 21,1972 at his home. Burial was in the family cemetery at the Phillips home.

Mr. Phillips, a farmer," was a Veteran of World War I. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Eva P. Clark and Miss Ethel Phillips of Hartford, Conn, and Mrs, Rhoda P. Jones of Amissville. □

W. N. Goodman

Funeral services were held in Richmond on Saturday for Walter Nelson Goodman, 50, of that city. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Goodman, a former resident of Sperryville, died September 21.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Patricia G. Chunn of Chattanooga, Tenn., Miss Sandra K. Goodman and Miss Joan G. Goodman, both of Prince George; one brother, Scott Wilson Goodman Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Alice G. Kelly of Prince George, one uncle, Raymond Rector of Marshall and one aunt, Mrs. Perle Coffey of Sperryville. □
