Annapolis in June 1971, and received his commission from the U.S. Navy at that time. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and has since completed the submarine training program of the Nuclear Power School at Mare Island, Cal.
He has completed final qualifications at the Nuclear Prototype School at Idaho Falls, Idaho, and will be deployed on the U.S.S. James Madison SSBN 627B out of Charleston, S.C.
Miss Moffett is the grand daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. C.E. Buxton of Springfield and of the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Moffett Sr. of Washington, Va.
Her fiance is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Welling of Bethesda, Md. and of Mrs. Anna Peterson of Minneapolis, Minn.
A June wedding is planned. □
