Amissville club meets

THE AMISSVILLE RURITAN CLUB was called to order by president W. H. Lyne on Wednesday, September 20 and the invocation was given by the Rev. J. S. Stirman. The members enjoyed a dinner served by the Amissville Homemakers Club.

Just as the mating got under way, the club was surprised by a visit from a teenage group of young people of Amissville Baptist Church which announced that Sunday would be youth day and the club was extended an invitation to attend the service which would be conducted by the young people of the church.

The club also decided to attend the Forest Grove Baptist Church revival as a body on Thursday, September 28.

Committees of the club gave reports showing objectives which are being accomplished and it was decided a new flag should be purchased to replace the old one.

Three members were recognized for good and faithful work among youth. They were Stanley Settle, Billy Dodson and Clarence Dodson.

County Game Warden Irvin L. Kenyon presented a talk on National Hunting and Fishing Day which was observed September 29. □ &
