GEORGE DAVIS, Commonwealth Attorney for Rappahannock County, may have heartened some conservation-minded citizens with his blunt, personal approach to land use planning last Friday evening at the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection’s third annual membership meeting.
The League staged a three-man panel discussion of local, regional and national land use planning. The talk, at times, was too generalized, getting away from Rappahannock County into lofty, planner’s jargon, or confident talk of “quality growth.” But George Davis’s view of the often-repeated need to “set our goals for the life style we want in the near future” was a blunt: “Leave Rappahannock Alone.”
