of Mrs. T. C. Lea in the cottage of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill of Bedford were Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. H. M. Keyser, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, joined by Mrs. F. W. Spalding of Flint Hill, her sisterin-law Mrs. J. W. Kendrick of Roanoke and Mrs. L. H. Nightengale of Williamsburg, a friend of Mrs. Keyser. All returned home during the weekend except Mrs. Lea and Mrs. Spalding who returned Tuesday.
Bobby Baines, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Baines, was joined by a large group of friends Tuesday evening for ice cream and cake in celebration of his birthday.
