Assuming for the moment that 1500 permanent homes are built on these lots, that could mean 1500 more children in our schools, and possibly many more. This cost added to those for other public services could prove staggering.

or nothing can be done about plats that already have been recorded. By updating zoning and subdivision ordinances we can be sure that land is used more wisely in the future. By considering the use of the land in a sensible manner, perhaps we still can manage land during our lifetime so that at least some of its beauty can be passed on to other generations. □
