WARNING
(Anyone whose property falls within the following categories, quoted from the 1973 Zoning Ordinance jof Rappahannock County, should take immediate corrective action or be subject to fine, unless they have met the special provisions of the ordinance for such activity:
“JUNKYARD. The use of any area of land of more than two hundred (200) square feet in any location for the buying or selling, storage, keeping or abandonment of junk including scrap metals or other scrap materials. The term “junkyard” shall include the term “automobile graveyard.”
“AUTOMOBILE GRAVEYARD: Any lot or place which is exposed to the weather upon which two (2) or more vehicles of any kind, incapable of being operated and which it would not be economically practical to make operative, are located or found.”
The Zoning Office is prepared to assist violators of
the ordinance in either of the above categories by| supplying information on how to economically dispose of junk automobiles.
