The volume of movement at the country level was light to moderate. Trading at terminal points continued light. Demand for both corn and soybeans was fair to good.
Bids to corn producers in southeast Virginia held unchanged at $2.80 to $3; Wilson $2.95 and Richmond $2.88 to $2.96. South Carolina corn prices were also unchanged with $3 in the Piedmont area and $3.15 in the Central area. Alabama trucklot offerings moved 8 - 3/4 to 11 - 3/4 cents lowere at $3.143/4 to $3.16-1/4. Georgia multi-carlot corn offerings were 7 to 9 cents with $3.16 to $3.19. Terminal prices at Memphis closed the period at $3.08 to $3.19 and Norfolk $3.08 to $3.10.
Bids to soybean producers in southeast Virginia were 14 to 20 cents over a week ago at $6.20 to $6.31. Richmond prices were $6.13 to $6.33.
