At a recent Youth Center meeting Tom Metzinger was elected to represent the young people as president of the organization. Other student officers are: Cindy Cumins, vice president; Fook Yuen, treasurer and Kathy Dwyer, secretary.
Committee chairman are as follows: Facilities and Planning, Anne Stokes; Public Relations and publicity, Tim Metzinger; Site Selection, Beverly Atkins; Counseling, Lisa Day; Executive, Andy Nichols; and I was elected chairman of Fund Raising. (Remember, it is better to give than receive.)
Adults met Monday night to name officers for the Youth Center and to adopt a charter and bylaws. Adult officers who will work along with student officers, include Mr. T. Granville Eastham, president; Tom Metzinger, vice president (as president of the student group he automatically becomes vice president of the adult group); Mrs. Howard Holschuh, secretary-treasurer.
Baseball practice is held every afternoon and the guys have been working hard.
