UKRAN1AN Easter eggs will be the center of attention at free demonstrations, Saturday April 6, by Linda Gruber, at the Country Store of Washington, Va. These intricately decorated eggs have been made by the Ukrainians for centuries. Many of the egg designs have religious significance and the eggs themselves symbolize the Resurrection and the rebirth of spring. Traditionally, people exchange these eggs after Easter services as a gesture of friendship.
Because of the response to this craft show last Easter, Mrs. Gruber has written a book recently published by The Country -Store.
According to Mrs. Gruber, the first egg anyone makes will turn out well.
